The SWARM Knowledge Hub is a PPRE project working very closely with various funding agencies, farmer groups, and other stakeholder partners to ensure that the most up to date knowledge on all aspects of farm resource management is made available to the south west farming community. Duchy College is a member of the Peninsula Partnership for the Rural Environment (PPRE). PPRE combines the strengths of North Wyke Research, academics at the University of Plymouth, the Centre for Rural Policy Research and Centre for Energy and the Environment at the University of Exeter, and Duchy College in order to better serve land based industries, the region, and the UK, thereby improving the economic and environmental performance of agriculture through research, skills development and knowledge transfer.
Information on a range of different topics will be presented in a variety of ways including videos, decision making tools, factsheets and interactive features to allow the farming community to improve profitability and become more sustainable.
We hope that you have gained some useful information and ideas from browsing the Swarm Hub website. Information will be updated on a regular basis and we will be introducing a number of new features in the coming months. To help keep you up to date with resource management issues and how they can help improve farm profitability, you might like to bookmark the pages you find most useful. We would also like to hear from you, so if you have any issues you would like us to cover, or some news to share do get in touch.
